Delete Your Account

1. Delete from inside the app

The fastest way to delete your account is directly in Cookcart:

1. Open Cookcart and sign in.
2. Go to the Profile tab.
3. Tap Settings.
4. Tap Delete Account.
5. Tap Continue, then Delete Everything to confirm.

Your account and all associated data are removed straight away. You will be signed out and returned to the sign-in screen.

2. If you no longer have the app installed

If you have already uninstalled Cookcart and do not want to reinstall it, you can request deletion by email instead.

Email btprogramming24@gmail.com from the email address associated with your Cookcart account, and ask for your account to be deleted. Sending from the account's own address lets us verify ownership.

We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days of receiving your request.

3. What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes all of the following from our servers:

• Your account and Google sign-in association
• Your profile, including display name and profile photo
• All recipes you created or imported — including any you shared publicly
• All cookbooks
• All grocery lists and the items on them
• Your saved and favourited recipes
• Every image you uploaded — recipe cover photos, step photos, and your profile picture

Deletion applies to your entire account. Cookcart does not offer a way to delete only part of your data while keeping the account.

4. What is kept

Nothing personal is kept once your account is deleted.

Your data may persist briefly in encrypted, access-controlled database backups, which are overwritten on a rolling cycle and fully purged within 30 days. These backups are used only for disaster recovery and are never used to restore a deleted account.

Anonymised, aggregated usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you or any individual account may be retained. We keep no personal data for marketing, advertising, profiling, or analytics purposes after deletion.

5. Before you delete

Because deletion is permanent, it is worth exporting anything you want to keep first. If you would like a copy of your recipes and lists before deleting, contact us at btprogramming24@gmail.com and we will help you retrieve them.
